Jim Langevin is the incumbent United States Congressman representing Rhode Island’s Second Congressional District. He is a lifelong Rhode Islander and a member of the Democratic Party.

Does Jim Langevin represent me?

The Second District includes Burrillville, Charlestown, Coventry, Cranston, East Greenwich, Exeter, Foster, Glocester, Hopkinton, Johnston, Narragansett, New Shoreham, North Kingstown, Richmond, Scituate, South Kingstown, Warwick, West Greenwich, West Warwick, Westerly, and portions of Providence, which is divided between Congressman Langevin and Congressman Cicilline.

Where and how do I vote?

Rhode Islanders can now register to vote online, by mail, or at their local Board of Canvassers. The Secretary of State’s website has useful information on polling places, election dates, and more. Put in your address to find out where you will cast your ballot in the next election!

If you will be out of state on Election Day, or are physically unable to make it to your assigned polling location, you can vote by mail ballot.

Rhode Island state law requires voters to present a valid form of photo ID at the polling place before being allowed to vote. The Secretary of State’s website has a full list of acceptable forms of identification.
