National Association of Social Workers endorses Langevin

August 24, 2006:

Rep. James R. Langevin on Tuesday announced that he has been endorsed by the National Association of Social Workers.

"It is both gratifying and energizing to receive this endorsement from Rhode Island social workers," Langevin said in a news release. "When re-elected, I will continue to advocate for education, housing, immigration, energy and health-care policies that work for Rhode Island's working families, among the many, many other issues that are important to my constituents."

In endorsing Langevin, the group said, "In light of your commitment to the well-being of individuals, families and communities we are extending our support."
