Langevin continues to work for equal rights

Congressman Langevin has been a longtime supporter of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) equality, scoring a perfect rating from the Human Rights Campaign, a national gay rights organization. Langevin opposed a Constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. Although Langevin does not support same-sex marriage, he does support civil unions and says it should be left to the states to decide. Langevin also supports ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) and is co-sponsoring legislation to repeal the military's anti-gay "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
