Submarine funding a priority for Langevin in House Armed ServicesApril 28, 2006:Congressman Langevin, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, is optimistic that $400 million for submarine funding will be part of a new defense authorization bill. Many Rhode Islanders work in Electric Boat's Quonset Point and Groton facilities on submarine development, an industry which Langevin feels is vital to the local economy and to national security.
